These images were created using solutions of commercially available fluorescent dyes dissolved in water plus glycerin spotted onto a thin layer of either glycerin or white food coloring that had been painted onto a glass plate. After spreading the spotted dyes to create the various patterns using either a paintbrush, stick or pull chain, the patterns were photographed using UV illumination from above. Some of the photos are composites created from portions of individual photos.
